Help Support
Hurricane Helene Relief

Relief & Clean Up Supply Collection This Sunday (10/6)

We have an opportunity to partner with Emission Air, a local disaster relief and missions organization, to help provide needed items for the cleanup operations going on in western NC. This is part of a community wide effort where different churches have been asked to collect specific items that Emission Air will deliver to relief workers this coming week. â€‹

We will have a donation drop off area set up in the Welcome Center this Sunday morning. Due to their delivery schedule, Emission Air needs all donations dropped off no later than Sunday Morning (10/6).

Here is a list of the items our church has been asked to collect:

              - Shovels

            - Rakes

            - Buckets

            - Brooms

            - Dust pans

            - Water hoses

            - Hose Spray Nozzles

            - SMALL BAGS of pet food

            - Blankets (Must be new with tags still attached)

Other Ways to Support the Relief Efforts

Please pray!
This is a desperate time for many, and they need God's intervention to meet very basic needs. Also, pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in the area, that God would equip them to help the people in their communities.

Please give!
At this time, we have established two ways for you to give towards the relief efforts.

One very good option is Second Harvest Food Bank of Western NC. Second

Harvest is well equipped to help meet needs in these types of situations, as they already have a physical presence and dedicated supply chain established. Here is a link you can follow that will give you several different ways to support their efforts.

Another option is to donate to First Alliance and designate it for "Hurricane Relief" (on your check or in SimpleGive). The Alliance South District is organizing efforts to reach out through the Alliance Churches in places like Asheville, Boone, Elizabethton, and Johnson City. (By God's mercy, all of these churches are largely undamaged and our people are safe!) First Alliance will forward 100% your donation to the district's relief fund.

If you feel led to go and volunteer in the area at this time, we encourage you to connect with Samaritan's Purse. They are setting up five different volunteer centers, including Boone and Asheville.

Also, Sam Grossoehme, one of our members, is planning a trip to the area the weekend of the 12th and 13th, and he has room for a few others to join him. If you are interested, contact one of our staff members, and we can connect you with Sam.

Thank you for your love and concern and your desire to help. May God be gracious to those in dire need, and may He be glorified, and may Christ be magnified, by your efforts to reach out!

Yours in Christ Jesus,
Pastor Paul & the FAC Staff
