Pastoral Staff

Hi, I’m “Pastor Paul.”  I’ve been at First Alliance since 2002. I’m married and have two grown sons. I love music (I play the sax and the piano) reading, and a good game of tennis.
Here are some of my “qualifications”…

I grew up in Western Massachusetts, which qualifies me to be called a Yankee (even though I root for the Red Sox).

I graduated from Duke in 1988.  That qualifies me to coordinate FAC’s annual NCAA tournament bracket challenge — and to suffer endless abuse at the hands of a church mostly full of UNC Tarheel fans.

Before entering the ministry, I worked for four years as an electrical engineer in the D.C. area.  That qualifies me to fix the office computer network whenever it goes on the blink, or at least to break it more profoundly.

But seriously, even while preparing for a technical career, I sensed God calling me to something different.  In 1994, Dawn and I followed God’s leading to seminary and then to the pastoral ministry, where we’ve been for about 20 years.  God has given me a love for His Word and a passion for seeing people restored and strengthened by Jesus as they learn how to apply the truth of the Bible to their lives. If you would like to check out some of my recent messages, they’re available in digital form over on the sermons page.

Hey y’all this is Pastor Ben.  By God’s grace and mercy I have served here at First Alliance Church since 2007, first as the youth pastor from August 2007 – 2015, and currently as the associate pastor.  I am happily married, and my wife and I are parents to “three under three.” Yes, you read that correctly! We have a daughter and two sons, all under three years old!  I’m a graduate of Toccoa Falls College with a degree in Youth Ministry. Here are a few of my favorite things: a good cup of coffee, a hard workout at the gym, a good beard on my face in the winter months, a good story, and a good laugh.

What do I love?  My wife – Ashley, my parents, my fellow workers, the camera men, my producers. . .  no, seriously, I love Jesus.  I desire to know Him more and to make Him known.  That love for Him is why I am a pastor – because I desire to see people fall in love with Jesus and commit their lives to following Him. My constant prayer for our church is that we would fall in love with the Word. My life verse is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer I live but Christ lives in me.  The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Howdy, I am Pastor Kyle.  I have been serving with First Alliance Church since September 2015. I grew up in the suburbs of South Jersey, in a town called Mount Laurel.  I graduated from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.  Currenlty, I am pursuing my masters in Christian Studies at Crown College online.

My ministry experience has been in the inner city of Camden, NJ and Miami, FL.  My wife and I met while ministering to youth in Camden, NJ.  Doreen is from Malawi, Africa and was starting a fellowship program in Camden.  Sparks flew as we poured out our hearts together each and every day to share the gospel with children facing incredible adversity.  We spent two years in Camden and two years in Miami, FL.  I felt a tug on our heart from the Lord to pursue pastoral ministry.  I served as an intern for a C & MA church in Southern New Jersey- where I grew up- called, Fellowship Alliance Chapel.

After a year at FAC in NJ, the Lord sent us to FAC in NC.  Doreen (my wife), Shiloh (my daughter), and I are committed to making disciples who make disciples out of the youth in Lexington, NC.  Our roots are stuck firmly in the ground in this beautiful community.

I love Jesus, I love people, and I love ministry.  My aim is to help youth to activate their faith, to go from Christianity as a spectator sport, to being in the game and wanting the ball when the game is on the line.

Hi! I am Lauren Lynch, communications director at First Alliance Church.

In 2011, I moved to Lexington with my husband, Patrick, and son, Brendan. North Carolina is the ninth state I’ve lived in. Having lived in the Pacific northwest, midwest, south and various east coast states, I don’t identify with any particular region, but that’s fine since my true citizenship is in heaven!

Before moving to North Carolina, I served for eight years on staff at our church in Florida. I have nearly three decades experience as a graphic designer--but nothing is more rewarding than being able to use my gifts to serve God.

I was originally a fine arts major, so I still enjoy dabbling in various creative pursuits in my free time. Over the past decade, much of my free time has been invested in writing Christian fiction novels.

I can’t imagine a more loving church family than the one I enjoy serving alongside at First Alliance!

I’m thankful to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you on this website! My name is Donna and I am the newest member of the staff here at First Alliance Church.  I am the part-time administrative assistant/bookkeeper!  My husband Tom and I moved to North Carolina from New York 23 years ago and we were blessed to find First Alliance in 2002.  This is home for us!!  Our kids grew up in the youth group and we all found ways to plug in, minister to others, and serve our Mighty God!!  Tom and I are empty nesters now.  Tom loves to drag race so you can often find him out in his shop or at the race track.  A perfect day for me would be relaxing on my porch swing with a good cup of coffee and an even better book-after the flower beds are weeded!!  One bit of trivia to show what a small world it is:  Tom’s Uncle Frank was Pastor Paul’s Sunday School teacher up in Connecticut when Pastor was in 4th or  5th grade.  How cool is that!?  I hope that you decide to come visit us here at First Alliance Church.  We may just be the church family that you’ve been looking for!
